During a public comment process for a federal agency plan, someone suggested wolves be used as a tool to control elk herds on a national wildlife refuge in southern Colorado. Now the federal agency must examine that option. The Pueblo Chieftain reports that managers will consider the possibility of using wolves to cull elk herds on the Baca National Wildlife Refuge as it moves through the planning process.
