DEQ Air Quality Citizens Advisory Task Force meeting Feb. 21

On Tuesday, February 21, 2012, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will host the first Upper Green River Basin Air Quality Citizens Advisory Task Force meeting. According to John Corra, DEQ Director, the purpose of this task force is to consider and advise on potential solutions to reduce ozone levels in the Upper Green River Basin. "This first meeting will provide background on the ozone problems, overview of the scientific issues and the work conducted to date, and to discuss the charter for the group," said Corra. The task force consists of 26 individuals from the municipal area governments, county governments, DEQ, Bureau of Land Management, Wyoming Governors Office, United State Forest Service, public health, oil and gas industry, and local area residents. The task force meeting will be held at the Sublette County Library in Pinedale, WY at 5:00 P.M.
