At approximately 3:23 p.m. on Wednesday February 8th the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office began receiving reports of a two vehicle head-on collision at mile marker 95 on U.S. Hwy 191. SCSO deputies immediately went in route along with Pinedale EMS. Upon arrival deputies confirmed the crash involving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck and a sanitation/vacuum truck. Pinedale and Boulder firefighters also responded to the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 45-year old Thayne Adams, was pronounced deceased from his injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was transported by ambulance to the Pinedale medical clinic, was treated and released. The crash is being investigated by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office extends its condolences to the family of Mr. Adams.
