BLM annual planning meeting with gas operators August 9th

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office (PFO) will host oil and gas operators at the annual planning meeting (APM) for air, water and socioeconomic topics at 9 a.m., on Thursday, August 9, in the PFO Rendezvous Room at 1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale, Wyoming.
Air quality topics will include an update by the U.S. Forest Service on the IMPROVE air monitoring station and local effects from wildfires; a report from the University of Wyoming on the Pinedale Anticline Spatial Air Quality Assessment; an operator update on air quality, ozone action days, Visibility Milestone #3 modeling, and voluntary emissions reductions; and a BLM presentation on Visibility Milestone #2, the non-attainment designation, general conformity, and air quality modeling.
Water topics will include updates on Sublette County Conservation District surface and general water monitoring and on operators’ current number of water wells and water withdrawal volumes.
Socioeconomic topics will include operator presentations on the development forecast and planned operations based on current commodities.

An APM is required by the 2008 Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement Record of Decision for the Pinedale Anticline Project Area. To more fully address topics of community interest, the PFO has subdivided the original APM into three annual meetings focused on development, wildlife, and air, water and socioeconomics. This is the second APM for air, water and socioeconomics.
