Free preservation workshop July 11
Offered by the Bondurant Community Club
July 7, 2012
In its quest to preserve old and fragile photographs and records from its nearby ranches, schools, landscapes, landmarks and local homesteaders, the Bondurant Community Club (BCC) went right to the top for assistance.
The BCC Preserve, Organize, Protect and Share (POPS) Committee has been gathering papers, minutes, photos, prints and many more local items with the goal of future public access.
The result is a free, full-day workshop on Wednesday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Church of St. Hubert the Hunter in Bondurant. This workshop is presented without charge to anyone interested by the Wyoming State Historic Records and Advisory Board and Wyoming State Archives.
Anyone who wants to learn the pros’ best practices for digitizing papers and photos (from scanning to access and outreach), preserving oral histories of family members or community figures, and managing and organizing records for small museums and archives – please plan to attend this free workshop! Lunch plans are still undecided.
RSVP by calling Marilyn Filkins at 307-730-3680.
