The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR), the largest sled dog race in the lower 48 states, will expand its 2013 route to add stages in Montana, Idaho and Utah to its Wyoming venue, announced Race Director Frank Teasley.
"I’m very excited that the IPSSSDR will become the only sled dog race to travel four states," said Teasley. "Mushers will enjoy the different terrain we have planned for them in 2013. The course begins in Jackson Hole, Wyo., with our usual exciting crowd-friendly race start, then will continue through parts of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho and dip down into Utah before finishing in Wyoming."
Now in its 18th year, the 2013 IPSSSDR is slated for January 25 – February 2, 2013. With its unique stage stop format, the IPSSSDR has become a popular mushing event attracting the world’s top competitors. Pedigree® Food for Dogs is the title sponsor of the IPSSSDR. The Pedigree® brand actively supports a wide range of programs that promote responsible pet ownership and highlight the contributions dogs make to society.
The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race was founded in 1996 by Frank Teasley to make sled dog racing more accessible to the public. For more information, visit the race website at www.wyomingstagestop.org; contact the race at 307-734-1163.
