Nordic ski grooming report – Dec. 17, 2012
December 17, 2012
Report courtesy of Mike Looney, Groomer
Monday, 10:00AM report: It’s a winter wonderland up there today! There is about a half foot of new snow, maybe more, from overnight, with at least 3" more this morning. All trails freshly groomed this morning. The road was freshly plowed this morning, but with the snow continuing, it is building back up quickly. Recommend 4-wheel or all wheel drive vehicles. Road is snow-packed and may be icy in some spots. The parking lot at White Pine is snow-packed. There is lots of wildlife (deer and moose) around in the area. A young bull moose was spotted near the trail at North Surveyor and there are deer all over at Kelly Park. If you bring dogs, make sure they are under your control at all times and don’t let them chase wildlife. Please keep dogs off Upper Surveyor Park, but they are welcome in Lower Surveyor. Please pick up after your dogs.
