by Pinedale Fine Arts Council
January 30, 2013
Local residents are invited to a special reception to introduce In|site:Ex|site, Pinedale’s Public Art Program, and meet the Incubate artists Friday, February 8, 2013 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Lovatt Room at the Sublette County Library in Pinedale. In addition to a brief overview of the program, featured artists James Bond, Sue Sommers, and Bronwyn Minton will present short slide shows on their work. Student artists, Palmer and Kirsten Klaren, will be introduced as well. Drinks and light refreshments will be served.
In|site:Ex|site/Pinedale is a public art program managed by the Visual Arts Committee (VAC) of the Pinedale Fine Arts Council in partnership with the Town of Pinedale. VAC’s mission is to develop a comprehensive public arts program through the placement of temporary and permanent works of art throughout the community of Pinedale. The framework of the program can allow art work to rotate on a one-two year basis, which provides the opportunity for new and diverse art to come to Pinedale. It also offers a venue for new artists to gain experience in the public art world, and give Pinedale a chance to host art work that the community would otherwise be unable to afford. The works are sited in both interior and exterior public spaces. The goal of the Visual Arts Committee is to enhance the community through dialog, education, and visibility of visual art as it applies to our community of Pinedale.
