Periods of light snow continue east and west of the Continental Divide Monday with snow showers forming along the Divide Monday afternoon, streaming into the adjacent foothills causing brief reductions in visibility in the heavier snow showers. Roads will be slick, some snow-packed Monday and Monday night from the snow that occurred Sunday and Sunday night, making travel slow and difficult in some areas, especially over mountain passes.
Monday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 19. Wind chill values as low as -10. West northwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 1. Wind chill values as low as -10. West northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday: Snow continues on both east and west of the Divide with periods of moderate snow possible in the western mountains. Northwest winds will increase Tuesday evening, especially across the higher elevations, causing areas of drifting and blowing snow as well as low wind chills. A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -10. Blustery, with a west northwest wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Areas of blowing snow and a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 7. Wind chill values as low as -10. Blustery, with a west northwest wind 16 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
