Grants available for ‘The Great Conservation Idea’
by Sublette County Conservation District
October 15, 2013
Sublette County Conservation District has released the second request for proposals for "THE GREAT CONSERVATION IDEA", a new grant assistance program designed for small projects.
The "Great Conservation Idea" grant program, co-sponsored by Encana’s Community Investment program, isn’t designed to supplement funding for large projects but is unique in that it seeks proposals from individuals and organizations with a "Great Conservation Idea", but the idea or group is not well suited to larger or more focused conservation grant programs.
The program offers a 50% cost share, up to $1000, for well-thought-out proposals to accomplish small conservation projects. Youth groups, community service organizations, civic clubs and others would be encouraged to apply and can provide their match to the grant in the form of volunteer labor.
Application materials for the November 15th deadline are available by contacting Melanie Purcell or visiting the District’s website: http://sublettecd.com/pid/63/wildlife-and-habitat-program.aspx
