"This is a show you won’t want to miss!" exclaimed Valerie Lee, Managing Director of the Pinedale Community Theatre. "We have a cast of 28 incredibly talented local performers who are bringing to life the quirky and charming characters in this wonderful story of redemption. We don’t realize how talented our community members are until we see them in action. I’m encouraging everyone I know to see this musical performance and get their tickets which go on sale October 9."
According to Ms. Lee, cast members have been rehearsing since mid-September in both the Community Church Hall and the auditorium. Local stage crews are working hard. Costumes are being rented, borrowed or made. The costume committee, headed by Phyllis Vidal and Elaine Larson, is busy making the needed adjustments. Set designer Madeleine Murdock and carpenter Doug Hudlow are building the New York, Havana, night club, sewer and mission sets needed for the production.
Local orchestra members, JJ Huntley, Chandra Stough, Sue Holz, Katie Smith, Ryan Ptasnik, Craig Sheppard, Justin Smith, Luke Myszewski and Doug Hopkins, are preparing for the arrival of the conductor.
The dancers, headed by Keri Crossand Stephanie Jordan are looking forward to working with the choreographer. "It takes a village to produce a show and our community has stepped up once again to help us with this production. A production staff of 75 plus people is working together to make this show come to life in November." Ms. Lee explained.
The show runs Thursday, Nov. 7, Friday, Nov. 8, and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pinedale High School Auditorium. Tickets will be available starting October 9 at Office Outlet in Pinedale and Big Piney, The Cowboy Shop and Rock Rabbit. Adults are $13 and students $7.
