Big Piney/Marbleton seeks sponsors for 2014 IPSSSDR Stage Stop
International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race

The 2014 International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race will be held from January 31 to February 8, 2014. The event began in to showcase the beautiful state of Wyoming and to make sled dog racing more accessible to the public. In addition, the race worked to spread the word about the need for childhood immunizations and each year the race makes a contribution to communities on the race route for childhood immunizations. Pedigree has been the main event sponsor for thirteen years, and generously donates one year’s worth for food for one dog to animal shelters on the race route.
The sled dogs teams will come to the Upper Green River Valley for the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race in early February. The Big Piney-Marbleton Stage Stop will be on Thursday, February 6th. The "Meet the Musher’s Banquet" will be on Wednesday evening, February 5, 2014 at the Southwest Sublette County Pioneers Senior Center in Marbleton. This event includes the community’ long-standing tradition of amazing Dutch Oven cooking and tasty desserts. There will be live music and the public will have an opportunity to meet the mushers, many of whom are internationally famous sled dog racers.
The local Big Piney-Marbleton Stage Stop organizing committee is again seeking community involvement and sponsorships. They extend a big "Thank You!" to all of the past sponsors and welcome new sponsors. Sponsorship money is used to fund the local leg of the race activities. All levels of sponsorship are appreciated. Higher levels, $200 and above, receive a colorful printed banner silk screened with their name that is placed on the side of one of the competitor’s sled and carried during that leg of the race. The banners are signed by all the mushers and the sponsor gets to keep the banner once the stage stop leg is over. These become collectible items and many people proudly display them in their business locations throughout the year.
Levels of sponsorship:
Platinum- $500 plus. You receive sled banner with your name/business name on it, banquet sponsor advertisement, and official IPSSSDR merchandise.
Gold- $200-$499. You receive sled banner and IPSSSDR merchandise.
Silver- $100-$199. You receive official IPSSSDR merchandise.
Deadline for banner sponsorship is Monday, December 30, 2013.
