The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office (PFO) is seeking public comments prior to initiating an environmental assessment (EA) for grazing permit renewals in the Ryegrass area 10 miles west and southwest of Daniel Junction, Wyoming. Livestock grazing permits in the James Ryegrass, Webb Draw, Brody Draw, East Aspen Ridge, Jewett Ryegrass and Home Individual allotments are up for renewal, a process undertaken every 10 years. The permits are currently issued solely for cattle on a little over 19 thousand acres. Public participation is a key component of the EA process. The public is encouraged to identify specific issues, concerns or ideas to help ensure the best possible analysis. Written substantive comments may be emailed to BLM_WY_Pinedale_Grazing_Permit_Renewals@blm.gov with "Ryegrass Permits" in the subject line; faxed to 307-367-5329; or mailed or delivered to the BLM PFO, Attn: Travis Ames, P.O. Box, 768, 1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale, WY 82941.
