Improve your snowmobile riding skills
January 24, 2014
Bucky’s Outdoors is offering several snowmobile riding clinics on Saturday, February 8th to help people improve their back country riding skills. Snowmobilers will have a full day of professional instruction to leave to improve skills to ride more confidently in the back country. The clinics will be held in the incredible Horse Creek snowmobile riding country of the Wyoming Range mountains.
There are clinics for beginner, intermediate and advanced level riders. The clinics will go from 8AM until 4PM on Saturday. Cost is $300.00/per rider, which includes lunch and t-shirt. (Lodging not included.) You provide your own snowmobile.
Beginners Clinic: Basic snowmobiling body positioning. Getting off groomed trail and gaining confidence to explore new terrain and powder.
Intermediate Clinic: Sidehilling and reading backcountry terrain. Skills to traverse backcountry slopes, up and down. Riding in powder.
Advanced Clinic: Riding nasty and gnarly backcountry terrain. Navigating through trees, up and down slopes.
Instructor Sandy Sletten has been riding snowmobiles since he was 10 years old. He went on the snowmobiling racing circuit in 1999 while working alongside at Bucky’s Outdoors Polaris snowmobile dealership in Pinedale. He is now the owner of Bucky’s Outdoors.
