The Global Post reports the presence of wolves in Germany as part of the resurgence of wolf populations across Europe. Wolves were documented in Germany in 2001, and the country now has more than 30 packs. Germany is different than other European countries in that it lacks the wildlife protection infrastructure found elsewhere in the European Union.
