Rollover crash claims Rock Springs man near Big Sandy
Donald O. Morgan killed in one-vehicle accident on Sept. 17th

44-year old Donald O. Morgan of Rock Springs, Wyoming sustained fatal injuries on Wednesday, September 17th during a single vehicle rollover crash. The crash occurred at 9:35 p.m. on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Road #4116 at mile post 1.59 approximately 25 miles west of Boulder, Wyoming.
The 1981 Chevrolet C10 Mr. Morgan was driving was travelling southbound on the BLM two-track road in the Big Sandy Lodge area in Sublette County. The Chevy drifted off the left side of the road and struck a large rock with the front left wheel. The collision with the rock launched the vehicle airbourne. The Chevy rolled multiple times and Mr. Morgan was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover as he was not buckled in. Mr. Morgan sustained fatal injuries during the crash.
Alcohol and excessive speed are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash which was the 109th fatal highway crash in Wyoming for 2014.
