A strong upper level low-pressure system over the central Rockies brought thunderstorms, lightning and thunder, and heavy rain downpours over the last weekend in September. According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, between noon on Friday Sept. 26th to noon on Sunday, Sept. 28th, Pinedale got 2.41 inches of rain, Big Piney 1.45 to 2.39 inches depending on location, Daniel got 2.17 inches, Boulder got 1.47 inches, and Pine Creek above Fremont Lake got 3.47 inches. The forecast for the next several days is for continued wet weather with rain mixed with snow and nighttime temperatures dipping around freezing and daytime temperatures only into the 50s. Fred Pflughoft sent in this picture of the ponds in his driveway in Pinedale on Sunday, "Got so much water in my driveway I have ducks coming in. Might want to get my shotgun out."
