White Pine plans 75th Anniversary celebration Jan. 24th

White Pine ski area plans to commemorate their 75th anniversary with fun events on Saturday, January 24th.
White Pine opened the first cable tow in January 1940 by founder Sunny Korfanta. The local newspaper, the Pinedale Roundup, reported that the opening celebrations attracted over 1,000 people from as far away as Kemmerer.
To commemorate, White Pine plans to include a historic rope tow demonstration from noon to 2PM on Saturday. There will also be live music from local band "Six Foot Two" (rock & roll, alt-country). Everyone is welcome, no cover.
There will be an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner starting at 6PM. Tickets for the dinner are limited, $25/adults, $10/for kids age 10 and under. Tickets are available from Rock Rabbit and Office Outlet in Pinedale. For more info call 307-367-6606.
