August 11, 2015
Today (August 11, 2015), the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a gas leak on East Pine Street behind Sublette Communications. SCSO Deputies, along with Sublette County Unified Fire and EMS units, responded immediately. It was discovered on scene that a natural gas line had been severed by a construction crew. The one block area between Pine Street to Mill Street and from Bridger Avenue to Sublette Avenue were evacuated and cleared for safety.
Pinedale Natural Gas was notified and immediately dispatched a crew to the scene. Once gas to the area had been shut off workers were able to repair the severed gas line. Once the repairs were made and the area was deemed safe, the evacuation was lifted and citizens were allowed to return to the area without incident.
