Wranglers vs Punchers 2015 football rivalry game

Pinedale High School and Big Piney High School faced off in their cross-county rivalry football game on Friday, Oct. 23rd in a game played in Big Piney, ending the regular season for both teams. After a slow first half with no scores, things heated at the end of the 3rd quarter when Senior Jake Pape put the first 6 points on the scoreboard for Big Piney for the game’s first touchdown. The attempt for a two-point conversion failed making the score Big Piney 6, Pinedale 0 at the end of the third quarter. Minutes later into the 4th quarter, Wrangler Senior Caleb Raney scored Pinedale’s first touchdown of the game cranking up the excitement and making the score Big Piney 6, Pinedale 7. Jake Pape answered back shortly thereafter with another touchdown for Big Piney, taking the lead back away from Pinedale and making the score 12-7. Eight minutes later Big Piney Senior Dalin Hughes ran a 20-yard touchdown giving the Punchers the lead that Pinedale was unable to reclaim. The final score was Big Piney 20, Pinedale 7. The game was broadcast live on KPIN 101.1FM Radio with Blake Coble and Duke Edwards doing the pregame and the play-by-play live action.
