October 14, 2015
At their monthly meeting, on Tuesday, October 13th, the Sublette County Historical Society Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the proposal to move forward with placing a Verizon cellular communication tower on the grounds of the Museum of the Mountain Man. Funds raised from the property rental are designated for capital expenditures, which includes spending on immediate needs, such as updating the fire suppression system, roof replacement, and addressing the aging HVAC system. The Board of Trustees sincerely thanks the SCHS membership and public for their engagement in its deliberations over the past several months. Verizon’s next steps will include seeking approvals from various state and federal governmental agencies as well as the Town of Pinedale Zoning Board and Town Council.
