The Tease

This magpie seemed to be having fun teasing this cat perched on top of a fence in Pinedale on Thursday morning (Nov. 12th). The bird would hop close, then fly a distance away into a nearby tree when the cat twitched a muscle to move towards him. Then a few seconds later, the magpie would fly back down on top of the fence again and hop his way back towards the watchful kitty, keeping just out of easy reach, but close enough to taunt. After several times of the back and forth game, the cat finally turned around and nonchalantly walked away along the top of the fence and jumped out of sight. A second or so later, Mr. Magpie flew over the fence following him. Whatever transpired next to continue the game was hidden from sight.
