Nordic ski trail grooming report – April 1, 2016
by Report courtesy of Mike Looney, Groomer
April 1, 2016
Friday, April 1, 2016, 9:35AM report: All trails groomed above this morning except for Heart Attack. Chilly, 14F degrees at the Nordic Equipment building, which is good because it will make the snow hold out a bit. Slight breeze. Should be good crust skiing this morning as long as you ski where the sun has hit the snow. North slopes and shaded areas may be too soft. Be considerate to wildlife when crust skiing. If you encounter them, give them their space (deer, possibly elk and moose). This will most likely be the last grooming, temperatures are supposed to get steadily warmer. Thank you to everyone who helped keep the trails clean this year.
