There weren't many kids where Jillian Walde grew up in Nebraska, but she had her horse to keep her company. "I just rode all the time to stay busy," she said. "After awhile folks in church just started asking me to help them with their horse duties, and it kind of spiraled out of control."
Her church connection is also what helped bring her to Wyoming. "I was working there in Nebraska and the Pastor of my church just happens to be Coke Landers Dad," she said.
This year will be the fourth season Jillian has been a Camp Rider for the Upper Green River Cattle Association. "I just like being horseback," she said. "I do calf work and fall work for Coke Landers and Madeleine Murdock."
What's Jillian got in her horse trailer? "I have two half-draft, an Appendix (a first generation cross between a registered Thoroughbred and an American Quarter Horse), a well-bred Quarter, and a Mutt," she said with a smile.
