by Sublette County Treasurers Office media release February 2, 2017 Sublette County Treasurer, Roxanna Jensen, would like to make the public aware of House Bill 218 currently in the Senate. The bill, sponsored by the Joint Appropriations Committee, will raise the cost of the state fees for motor vehicle registration. If passed, the bill goes into effect immediately upon being signed by the governor. Costs for state fees on passenger vehicles will be raised from $15 to $25, school buses fees from $10 to $25; motorcycles and multipurpose vehicles from $12 to $25; costs for trucks and trailers whose state fee is based on the weight of the vehicle will see an increase in the ranges from $2 current to $10 proposed at the lowest end of the range to $60 current to $120 on the highest end of the range. |
