About 130 people participated in the Wyoming’s Wildlife and Roadways Summit in Pinedale April 26th & 27th. The summit brought together wildlife biologists from Wyoming Game & Fish, engineers from Wyoming Department of Transportation and many "NGOs" Non-governmental organizations representing environmental groups and other public all with the same goal of making Wyoming’s transportation system safer for motorists while being mindful of doing what is possible for big game to move more easily along and through their summer and winter range habitats. Discussions centered on where problem hot spots areas are, what are existing conditions that create safety issues and hamper wildlife crossing ability, and ideas on what can be done to make things better. Pictured here, a group looks at areas of concern in WYDOT District 3, which includes Sublette, Teton, Lincoln and Sweetwater Counties.
