Prescription Drug Take Back Day Oct. 28 in Pinedale
by Sublette County Sheriff’s Office
October 27, 2017
The Sublette County Sheriff's Office in partnership with Altitude Drug and the Prevention Management Organization will host a prescription drug take back day. Community members are invited to come to Altitude Drug in Pinedale on Saturday, October 28th from 10:00 AM-1:00PM to confidentially and securely dispose of unused or unwanted prescriptions.
The Sheriff's Office will have a Deputy, on site, to answer questions about local drop boxes and safe disposal of medications. Deterra kits, provided by the Wyoming Department of Health, will also be provided for community members to take home.
If you are unable to make the prescription take back time on Saturday, October 28th at Altitude Drug, there are a couple of options for safe disposal of your medications. The Wyoming Medication Donation Program (WMDP) reduces medication waste and improves access for low-income Wyoming residents who lack adequate prescription coverage. The WMDP provides immediate prescription help by re-dispensing acceptable, donated medications and provides advice on lower cost alternatives.
In addition, the Sublette County Sheriff's Office participates in an ongoing drug disposal program. The program is designed for citizens to safely and confidentially dispose of unused and expired prescriptions and over the counter medications by placing them in a secure prescription drug drop box. Sublette County has two drop boxes for disposal throughout the county. They are located at: Sublette County Justice Building, 40 S. Fremont Ave. Pinedale, WY Sublette County Sheriff's Office, 19 W. Fourth St. Marbleton, WY
