The Sublette County Library presented a performance by Celtic group Ensemble Galilei on Wednesday evening, Dec. 20th in the Lovatt Room of the Pinedale Library. "A Winter’s Night" was a winter solstice event. Ensemble Galilei performs Irish, Scottish, Early and Original music on a variety of ancient and modern instruments including the Celtic harp, Scottish small pipes, gamba, fiddle, recorders, whistles and percussion. Musicians were Adaiha Macadam-Somer on viola da gamba, Ryan McKasson on fiddle, Kathryn Montoya on recorders and pennywhistle, Sue Richards on harp, Carolyn Anderson Surrick on viola da gamba, and guest tenor vocal James Oxley.
The evening’s presentation was made possible by donations from Rob and Nancy Tolley, Blake and Sara Swift, the Swift Family Trust, Michal Doesburg, and the Sublette County Library Foundation.
