New Suicide Postvention podcast series begins April 1

A new podcast series on suicide postvention will begin on April 1, 2019 with an episode called, Postvention 101 with Dr. Jack Jordan. Podcasts will be available at: www.mirecc.va.gov/visn19/education/media/#PostventionPodcast
Future episodes with many experts in the field of suicide postvention will follow. They will center on the following topics: • The experience of losing family or friends to suicide • The professional and personal impact of losing a patient to suicide • How to manage legal and ethical concerns after a suicide loss • Implementing postvention practices in medical, mental health, military, school, community and workplace settings.
This podcast series is a collaborative effort between the Rocky Mountain MIRECC for Suicide Prevention and the American Association of Suicidology Clinician Survivor Task Force (Dr. Nina Gutin and Dr. Vanessa McGann), with support from the VHA Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
