Pole Creek Trail Days Sept. 20-23

Friday, September 20 through Monday, September 23rd Friends of the Bridger-Teton and the Bridger-Teton National Forest are inviting volunteers and interested residents to help with trail maintenance on the Pole Ck. Trail.
The Pole Creek Trailhead is one of the most heavily used trails into the Wind River Range, and there’s a lot of work to be done to mitigate growing impacts. The work project is easy access, provides beautiful views and is a great way to give back to your public lands during National Public Lands Week. Participants can join for one day or two or four, with optional camping available at Miller Lake. A project lead will be at the Elkhart/Pole Ck. trailhead at 8am each morning to meet interested volunteers. Participants are also encouraged to sign-up at btfriends.org. All ages and skill levels welcome; please bring water, food, work gloves and whatever personal gear needed for a day outside at high elevation. Bridger-Teton National Forest will provide tools and leadership.
The Pole Creek Trail was identified as a priority project during Friends’ of the Bridger-Teton community outreach and meets the Friends’ mission to inspire and empower community-driven stewardship for our public lands.
