BTNF closes rental cabins and restrooms

March 20, 2020— Amid the COVID-19 situation, Bridger-Teton National Forest has decided to close the majority of its public toilet facilities indefinitely for the health and safety of visitors and staff. These actions will be implemented over the coming week and will be in effect until further notice. These actions have been taken based on the best available medical advice for cleaning per CDC guidelines and to promote social distancing. Additionally, all rental cabins on the Bridger-Teton National Forests have been closed indefinitely for the health and safety of visitors and staff. Effective immediately the following rental cabins will be closed and unavailable to rent via Recreation.gov until further notice: Greys River Ranger District, Lincoln County, Wyoming: Cazier Guard Station Deer Creek Guard Station McCain Guard Station Meadows Guard Station
Kemmerer Ranger District, Lincoln County, Wyoming: Kelley Guard Station LaBarge Guard Station Scaler Guard Station
Big Piney Ranger District, Sublette County, Wyoming: Hoback Guard station Snyder Guard Station
Pinedale Ranger District, Sublette County, Wyoming: Green River Lake Lodge . All persons who reserved any of the above rental cabins should receive notice from Recreation.gov regarding cancellation and refund policy. As we work through an unpredictable and rapidly changing situation, health and safety is our number one priority. We are committed to continuing to support our communities and fulfill our mission as we all work together to minimize the impacts and spread of COVID-19. These actions have been taken based on the best available medical advice for cleaning per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and to promote social distancing. The USDA Forest Service continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and evaluate potential impacts and adjustments to reservations and our reservation policies through Recreation.gov. Please remember to review current recommendations from the CDC and focus on recreating safely while protecting yourself, Forest Service employees and our volunteers.
