Beaver Creek fire

A new fire was reported around 6:40PM on Friday evening, Sept. 4, burning in Irish Canyon south of Beaver Creek on the Pinedale Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The fire has been mapped at about one acre. The fire is burning in heavy timber. Fire behavior is creeping and smoldering with occasional torching. As of Saturday morning, crews have made good progress on the fire with the help of bucket drops from a Teton Interagency helicopter.

Fire danger is rated Very High on the Bridger-Teton National Forest and Stage 1 fire restrictions are in place. For more information go to www.tetonfires.com.
