Flag Half Staff notice - In honor of Walter Mondale
Flags will be lowered until sunset day of interment

Walter Frederick "Fritz" Mondale passed away on Monday, April 19th at the age of 93 . He served the people of Minnesota as their Attorney General from 1960-1964, as a United States Senator (D) from 1964-1976, as Vice President of the United States from 1977-1981, and as the United States Ambassador to Japan from 1993-1996.
President Joe Biden has ordered the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and on all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, on the day of interment. He also directed that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same period at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.
