Processional plans announced for LCPL Rylee McCollum return to Wyoming

The processional plans for the body of LCPL Rylee McCollum’s return to Jackson, Wyoming have been announced. U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Rylee J. McCollum of Bondurant was among the 13 American soldiers killed on August 26th during a suicide attack at the Kabul, Afghanistan airport.
The homecoming flight is scheduled to come into the Jackson airport at 4:05PM on Friday, September 10th. The Jackson Police Department is encouraging the public to line the sidewalks between Perry Street and Flat Creek Drive. The public is encouraged to park at the Teton County Fairgrounds. Well-wishers are asked to be staged and ready by 3:30PM. No one but emergency services will be allowed at the airport. Please do not try to go to the airport or the funeral home, out of respect for the family’s privacy.
Sublette County Veterans will be leaving from Big Piney at 12:30 pm and Pinedale no later than 1:00 pm to go to Jackson for the homecoming. Citizens of Sublette County are welcome to join the convoy from Pinedale to near the Jackson Airport. Meet at the VFW on Pine Street in Pinedale. Uniform for the day is Legion or VFW cap, white shirt, black pants or nice jeans, tie (optional).
The procession is expected to begin from the Jackson Airport around 4:35 p.m.
The procession is as follows:

highway patrol

5. Remaining LEO and first responders motorcycle escort
After leaving the airport, the procession will go east on Airport Rd to US 89/191, south on US 89/191 to Broadway, and west on Broadway to Scott Ln.
Well Wishers: Please stage from Gill St toward the Town Square on US 89/191, then west on Broadway to Scott Ln. Find Bob Tomb on the Square for flags. People are asked to fill in the gaps so it is a solid line along the route.
Motorcycles should stage southbound on US 89/191 south of Airport Rd toward town. Motorcycles will fall behind the emergency vehicles, continuing along Broadway Avenue (rather than turning on Scott Ln.)
Emergency vehicles will stage eastbound on Airport Rd and will follow the family – on Alpine Drive proceed past the Funeral Home and find parking along the road.
The Funeral Home handling the arrangements is Valley Mortuary, 950 Alpine Lane, in Jackson. No funeral plans have been announced. The family has indicated they intend to hold a funeral after McCollum’s child is born, which is imminent.
