Memorial Day Services in Pinedale May 30

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. Federal offices, banks, and many businesses are closed on this day.
Memorial Day Services in Pinedale will be held Monday, May 30th at 11AM at the Pinedale Cemetery. The program is conducted by the VFW Auxiliary Post 4801.
A luncheon will follow at noon at the Pinedale VFW. People are encouraged to visit the Sublette County Veterans Memorial at the American Legion Park in Pinedale. For more info, call the VFW at 307-367-4339.
There will also be an Open House at the Upper Green River Cemetery District on Memorial Day from 10AM to noon. The new office is located at the Pinedale Cemetery. Tour the new facility and enjoy light refreshments.
FYI - Memorial Day flag etiquette: On Memorial Day, the flag of the United States is raised briskly to the top of the staff and then solemnly lowered to the half-staff position, where it remains only until noon. It is then raised to full-staff for the remainder of the day.
