The Sublette County Hospital District is pleased to report that the USDA has given them the "Final Notice to Proceed" which is approval to begin construction on both the Critical Access Hospital and the attached Skilled Nursing Facility. Local crews, including Teletractors and Premier Site Development stand ready to start dirt work.

Dave Doorn, SCHD Administrator, notes, "The construction loan financing has been finalized. Our construction loan money is in our trust account and ready to go." With this Notice to Proceed, all the parts are in place to start construction right away.

Nathan Pitman, Project Manager for Layton Construction, notes, "The first step is for Premier Site Development to demo the existing field house, light poles and other existing utilities that once served the ball fields.

Meanwhile, Teletractors will begin by installing the new main water line that will serve the hospital facility before clearing and cutting the site to a specified elevation for high energy impact compaction to begin. At that point, LandPac will bring in ground rollers which transmit high energy impacts in a series of passes over cross sections of the site until the target compaction is achieved. Once compaction is complete, we will immediately roll into concrete footings and foundations which will lay the footprint of the new hospital and long-term care facility. Our Layton team is excited to be a part of this monumental project and we are looking forward to getting started."

The goal is to have the project shelled in by winter, so work can continue in the coldest months. Tonia Hoffman, SCHD Board Chair, writes "we are thrilled to finally be at the point that our plans and hard work are in executable form! We are excited to watch the progress on the structure while we continue to build the organizations that will give it life."
