Commissioners appoint Jessica Rice as new Sublette County Clerk

The Sublette County Board of Commissioners has appointed Jessica Rice as the new County Clerk following a careful and transparent selection process. Jessica, who brings 12 years of experience from the Sublette County Treasurer’s Office, was immediately sworn in after the appointment to ensure a smooth and timely transition into the role. Throughout the process, the commissioners emphasized the importance of selecting a candidate who demonstrated a strong commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and public trust. Each applicant was asked to address how they would work with the Commission to ensure the transparent and accountable use of county funds, identify current challenges facing the Clerk’s Office, and explain why they were the best person to serve in the role.
