Heaven welcomed another angel.
Thomas Scott Marshall, 57 of Pinedale Wyoming, passed away on July 9, 2025, due to complications from a stroke. He was born May 31, 1968, in Tooele, UT, to Thomas Rulon Marshall and DeeAnn Heward Marshall.
Our hearts are broken, and the hole he leaves behind feels immeasurable. Scott was full of life—he could talk to anyone, light up any room, and had a contagious smile that left a lasting impression.
He loved his family fiercely and taught us so much about living with passion, kindness, and frugalness. An extraordinary gardener, Scott found joy in sharing his harvest with friends and loved ones and boy, could he cook!
He also cherished time spent outdoors—where you could find him exploring the Wind Rivers, Gros Ventre, Wyoming and Salt ranges, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping in the big dumb cardboard box, and taking rides through the mountains where he found solace and peace.
Though we wish we had more time with him, we are deeply grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the adventures we shared. His love and legacy will forever remain with us. He could often be heard asking "By the way… are you a cop"?
Survived by his wife, Vicky Marshall, son Ryker Marshall, stepsons, Levi Rutledge, Jacob (Mariah) Rutledge and granddaughters Sophie, Athena, Kambri and Paislee. His mother DeeAnn Marshall, sisters, Joanne Mentaberry, Elaine Wohlfarth, Bonnie Gay (Christian) Whitesides as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father Thomas Rulon Marshall, father-in-law Fred Broadbent, sister Peggy Marshall, niece Charlotte DeeAnn Whitesides and both sets of grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
