The Pinedale Fine Arts Council is proud to present Grammy-nominated storyteller, Diane Ferlatte, performing live at the Sublette County Library (Pinedale) Lovatt Room on Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m.

This marks Diane’s return to Pinedale as PFAC presented her back in 2008. Diane has thrilled and touched audiences the world over with tales of inspiration, struggle, humor, and love. She tells true-life personal and historical stories, as well as folktales, legends, myths, and fables. She frequently incorporates American Sign Language as well as music and song into her many programs.

Diane has wowed audiences across the globe from Graz, Austria, to Auckland, New Zealand. She has toured and performed internationally many times over, including Holland, France, Bermuda, Sweden, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia. Diane has visited almost every state in the U.S., including Hawaii and Alaska, to perform at major festivals, theaters, conferences, universities, schools, libraries, senior centers, detention facilities, churches---you name it. Providing workshops for other storytellers, ministers, and teachers, as well as serving as keynote speaker/storyteller at professional conferences and conventions has become a rewarding part of her work.

Diane's 8 recordings have all won awards including: American Library Association - Parents' Choice, National Parenting Publications - iParenting Media Storytelling World - Youth Storytelling Pegasus Awards and her last CD, "Whickety Whack-Brer Rabbit is Back" was nominated for a 2007 Grammy in the children’s story telling category though it lost out to a Harry Potter reading. Visit Diane online at www.dianeferlatte.com.

Tickets for the March 5th performance are $5 and will be available at the door only. For more information please visit www.pinedalefinearts.com or call 307-367-7322. In addition to the public performance, PFAC will present Diane to the Pinedale, Big Piney and LaBarge elementary schools as an artist-in-residence.

PFAC’s presentation of Diane Ferlatte is supported in part by the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes a great nation deserves great art. PFAC is also supported by Sublette BOCES, the Town of Pinedale, SCSD No. 1 & No. 9, Sublette County Recreation Board, Sublette County Library, EnCana, The Wyoming Community Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation.
