The next Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meeting will be held Thursday, May 12, at 1:00 pm at the Marbleton Ambulance barn
The Chair of the Sublette County LEPC has changed hands from Todd Morgan to Keith Raney. Meetings are held the second Thursday of the month, alternating between Pinedale and the Marbleton/Big Piney Ambulance Barns. Meetings are open to the public and anyone interested is welcome to attend.
Local Emergency Planning Committees have been established in every county in Wyoming for emergency planning purposes. Each committee is comprised of emergency responders, area governments and elected officials, health and medical departments, industry/ transportation, environmental groups and any other related parties including the public. The LEPC function is to facilitate training, education and communication, among members and the public; primarily for chemical/ hazardous emergencies but also planning for any type of emergency. LEPC's are not a response or financing organization. Their main liaison is Sublette County Emergency Management.
