BLM Pinedale and Kemmerer Field Offices offer firewood permits

The Bureau of Land Management and Pinedale Field Offices (PFO) and Kemmerer (KFO) will issue firewood permits beginning Monday, May 16.
Permits are available at the PFO, 1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale, Wyoming and the KFO, 312 Hwy. 189 N., Kemmerer, Wyo. between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Permits are limited and will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis until Nov. 1.
There is a three cord minimum of firewood per individual permit and an eight cord maximum. The cost is $5.00 per cord. Permit tags are to be filled out and attached to the load of wood before it is removed from the cutting area.
Weather and road conditions may affect the start date of permit sales. In the event of poor conditions, the beginning date of permit sales may be pushed back.
