WLCI Local Project Development Teams to hold meetings
To discuss projects and Integrated Assessment
by Wyoming Landscape Conservation Initiative
July 27, 2013

The Local Project Development Teams (LPDTs) for the Wyoming Landscape Conservation Initiative (WLCI) will be meeting at various locations in southwest Wyoming through the first part of August.

Conservation-minded land owners, project proponents and the public are encouraged to attend the meetings which will include updates on existing projects and discussions on potential new projects.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) will also demonstrate the Integrated Assessment mapping tool available on wlci.gov. The mapping tool allows project proponents to incorporate current and potential land management activities and support WLCI landscape level planning. The USGS will be working with LPDTs to determine how to incorporate conservation priorities and accomplishments, identify suitable data, provide feedback on tool features and layout, and further train interested team members on using this tool to address specific conservation questions.

The LPDT meetings are scheduled for:

Friday, Aug. 2, 9AM - Sweetwater County LPDT
Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Green River Regional Office
351 Astle St., Green River, Wyoming

Wednesday, Aug. 7, 10AM - Carbon County LPDT
Bureau of Land Management, Rawlins Field Office
1300 N. Third St., Rawlins, Wyoming

Thursday, Aug. 8, 10AM - Sublette County LPDT
Bureau of Land Management, Pinedale Field Office
1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale, Wyoming

Wednesday, Aug. 14, 10AM - Lincoln/Uinta LPDT
Bureau of Land Management, Kemmerer Field Office
312 Highway 189 N., Kemmerer, Wyoming

"Anyone interested in landscape-scale conservation is welcome to attend," states WLCI Coordination Team Lead Michele Windsor. "This is a great opportunity to learn how to use one of the many conservation tools available through the WLCI, meet like-minded folks and learn more about what we do."
