PFAC Soundcheck - Rose’s Pawn Shop headlines July 22

Pinedale’s Soundcheck Summer Music Series continues Saturday, July 22 with California-based folk-rockers Rose’s Pawn Shop. Austin alt-country 5-piece The Lonesome Heroes and local acoustic trio Conifer Hollow will each play support sets.
All Soundcheck shows are presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) and take place at American Legion Park in downtown Pinedale. Shows are free to the public, start at 5 pm and are family friendly. Food and drink vendors are on site as well.
With their fusion of bluegrass instrumentation and folk-rock amplification, Rose's Pawn Shop have spent the better part of two decades carving out an Americana sound that's as diverse as the band's native Los Angeles. Their past releases offer a melting pot of modern-day roots music, shot through with electric guitar, fiddle, raw percussive stomp, and stacked vocal harmonies. Anchored by the sharp songwriting of frontman Paul Givant, it's a sound for campfires and car stereos, for front porches and dive bars, for the heart as well as the heartland.
Austin’s Lonesome Heroes reside at the cosmic junction of indie rock and country. Led by frontman Rich Russell’s never-ending call of the road, the group have toured extensively behind two acclaimed albums across continents on both sides of the world, while never straying too far from their "Cosmic Americana" roots. Described by KUTX as "the soundscape that occurs when indie rock and country artfully cross paths," The Lonesome Heroes have played over 1000 shows, turning indie-rockers into two-steppers (or vice-versa) by way of the rhythm of the road.
Pinedale acoustic trio Conifer Hollow will open with a short set of original tunes.
