1859 wagon train

Photo taken by Albert Bierstadt in 1859 of a wagon train on the Lander Trail at Buckskin Crossing on the Big Sandy River. This spot was two days before reaching the New Fork River crossing, where the historical park is now located. This may be one of the earliest known photos taken in what is now Sublette County, Wyoming.
