Amy Malo leads in Big Piney Stage Stop leg

The 2026 Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race continued February 2nd in Big Piney, Wyoming, where mushers and their dog teams raced 30.5 miles on groomed trails through the Bridger-Teton National Forest, starting from the Middle Piney trailhead. Defending Stage Stop Champion Anny Malo claimed the Big Piney stage victory, edging fellow Stage Stop Champion Remy Coste by just 17 seconds with a winning time of 1:56:30. With the narrow win, Malo retains the overall race lead and will wear the yellow bib for Stage 4, also in Big Piney. Trail conditions remained favorable throughout the day.
