The 2026 Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race continued on February 1, 2026 in Pinedale, Wyoming, where mushers and dog teams tackled 35 miles on groomed trails through the Bridger Teton National Forest from the Green River Lakes trailhead.

Anny Malo from Quebec, Canada, captured today’s stage with a winning time of 2:08:42. Malo will wear the yellow bib for Stage 3, in Big Piney on Tuesday, February 2nd. Trail conditions today remained favorable and firmer than Saturday’s resulting in faster times for top teams.

Dan Carter, Race Director, said "Two stages down and five to go — our mushers and dogs are racing strong, the competition is tight, and the best of the Pedigree Stage Stop is still ahead."

Stage 3: Big Piney/Marbleton, Wyoming
Start Time: 9:00 am
Distance: 34.2 miles
Best Viewing Area: Middle Piney trailhead off road 350, 20 miles from town.

With Stage Two complete, the competitors are now challenged to maintain or improve their positions over the next five stages. The race will resume on Monday morning, February 2nd, at Big Piney & Marbleton for Stages Three and Four.

The Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race is a unique, stage format competition featuring seven distinct legs along various US Forest Service trails throughout western Wyoming. Each stage is hosted by a local community — including Jackson, Pinedale, Big Piney/Marbleton, Kemmerer, and Lander — fostering a strong bond between the race and its host regions.
