SAFV Task Force announces new partnership to strengthen survivor support services
February 21, 2026
Pinedale, WY — The Sublette County Sexual Assault & Family Violence (SAFV) Task Force is entering a new partnership designed to strengthen services for survivors in our community and ensure the organization stays strong for years to come.
Through this partnership, Community Safety Network (CSN) in Teton County will provide administrative support for responsibilities such as financial management, grant administration, and compliance. The Sublette County SAFV Task Force will continue providing all direct services locally. This new approach focuses on long-term sustainability and enhances administrative capacity for the organization. It also strengthens support for advocates, all while ensuring services remain locally based and responsive to the unique needs of Sublette County.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment among local leadership and statewide partners to build a durable foundation for survivor services in Sublette County. It is designed to reduce administrative burdens so local staff can focus on supporting those in need.
"This partnership allows us to stabilize and strengthen services while keeping them rooted in Sublette County," said Kay Mahaffey, SAFV Task Force Board Chair. "Our priority has always been survivors, and this model ensures that services are available and responsive to our community."
Under the new structure: • The Sublette County SAFV Task Force will continue operating locally. • SAFV advocates will remain focused on serving Sublette County survivors. • CSN will provide administrative infrastructure, grant management support, compliance oversight, and support systems for advocates. • Community partnerships with law enforcement, healthcare, and local agencies will remain intact.
This type of administrative partnership is becoming more common among rural nonprofits, allowing small organizations to improve stability, increase accountability, and reduce employee burnout while maintaining their local identity.
This partnership does not merge programs or blend services. Both Sublette County SAFV Task Force and CSN will remain distinct, community-based entities serving survivors in their respective counties.
• Sublette County survivors will continue receiving services locally through the SAFV Task Force. • Teton County survivors will continue receiving services through Community Safety Network. • Local donations stay local — funds donated to Sublette County SAFV will always support services in Sublette County.
The same is true for CSN/Teton County. The Sublette County SAFV Task Force and Community Safety Network are committed to a smooth and transparent transition in the months ahead. Both organizations will continue working closely with community partners and supporters to ensure services for survivors will continue without interruption, including crisis response, advocacy, prevention education, and coordinated community support.
